Edu-Ventures started 12 years ago because I wanted to create a better educational travel experience for our students. My wife Gina, a travel agent, organized our first trip with just 12 students to Costa Rica. It was a tremendous improvement over our past experiences. We stayed at better accommodations and our trip was more inclusive with numerous extra activities and better meals for a whole lot less. More importantly, we had control over the entire itinerary. It was very apparent that we could create trips that offered a much better educational value.
Over the years, teachers joined our team because they saw that we provide better experiences for themselves and their students. Today, we are proud to say we are a community of teachers that help each other plan and organize educational travel. Our community consists of teachers from Barcelona to Costa Rica, Atlanta to Chicago and right here in our home base, the beautiful Hudson Valley New York. We have a wealth of knowledge and experience that will ensure your trip will be the best it can be.
Today many of our teachers serve as tour managers for their own trip or other trips in our teacher community. In fact, every tour manager we use is a teacher professional from our community that is an expert in that location.
Part of Edu-Ventures is to take on as much of the responsibility as possible from the teacher. We are teachers too and understand the time crunch that today’s educators face. This allows the teachers to focus on the excitement of the trip with their students.
